A day in the life of an Account Manager

No two days are ever the same for our Account Managers.


What does an average day include for you?


"I look after Green Zone Surveys' existing customers, supporting them with any additional business requests they have and providing them with their renewal quotations too. I also support with new sales enquires, signing up customers with a variety of the services Green Zone Surveys has to offer."


What’s the first thing you do when you start work? 


"I like to plan for the day ahead. My plan tends to focus on being reactive to any queries received overnight, in the morning and dealing with existing clients. In the afternoon I take a proactive approach and reach out to new clients."


What’s it like working in sales?


"I love what I do as no two customers are the same. I take a consultative approach when working with different sized businesses. This allows me to provide the right solution and service to meet their business needs, which is bespoke and unique to each and every client."


What’s the best thing about working for Green Zone Surveys?


"The team morale at Green Zone Surveys is really good right now. I have enjoyed playing a key part in the current growth of Green Zone Surveys and look forward to the new year and being part of the drive and ambition of the company’s goals for 2024."


What kind of skills do you need to have?


"You need to have excellent communication skills as you need to have a great understanding of what each and every customer requires. You also need to be patient with the ability to act proactively and take initiative when required."


Have you learned anything new since joining Green Zone Surveys?


"Prior to starting with Green Zone Surveys, I was completely unaware to the fact that compliance services such as TM44s were a legal requirement."


Overall, what can you take away from your role?


"How important it is to provide a world class service. By taking the time to be meticulous and gathering all the relevant info at the front end helps to ensure a seamless transition for the customer, when they are transferred through to the service and technical teams."


What advice would you give to our clients? 


"Energy reduction is a big focus now for most companies as we all head towards achieving Net Zero. Green Zone Surveys is able to support you on your journey as we can carry out Energy Audits that provide recommendations on how to reduce your energy consumption."
