What does an average day include for you?
"No two days are the same due to our varied client base and the requirements they have. Most days I can count on liaising with clients on upcoming projects, responding to any queries, and ensuring we have resource and capacity to complete the works in a timely manner."
What’s the first thing you do when you start work?
"First things first I’ll make myself a tea and fill my water bottle up to ensure I’m sufficiently hydrated and caffeinated for the day ahead, I’ll then check our system for any new incoming jobs and delegate to the team accordingly."
What’s it like working in service?
"Working in service is great. We’re a very close-knit team, always willing to help each other out where needed. We pull together when we need to get the job done but we also really get on as people."
What’s the best thing about working for Green Zone Surveys?
"Definitely the people! It sounds incredibly clichéd, but everyone here really looks out for one another. Everyone’s opinions are valued and the atmosphere and culture here is one that really rewards people on merit."
What kind of skills do you need to have?
"I think being personable and approachable really helps, and having really strong organisational skills. I think having a good understanding of how you work best and applying that to the needs of your colleagues and our clients is important."
Have you learned anything new since joining Green Zone Surveys?
"I’ve learned tonnes! My technical understanding of the industry and BEPD has grown massively but I feel I’ve also become more commercially savvy during my time here."
Overall, what can you take away from your role?
"The importance of the smaller details, being meticulous and diligent in every phase of a clients compliance journey can really make a difference."
What advice would you give to our clients?
"The Government Register is always a fantastic place to start to gauge whether your business/property is compliant or not."
